ESR 4, Maurizio Crupi was invited to give a presentation to the Consejo Regulador I.G.P. Jijona Y Turron Alicante on the 24 September 2018, during a visit organized by the Magister Lvcentinvs.

Within the scope of his research “Innovating within Tradition: Geographical Indications for Agricultural Products and Handicrafts”, the ESR has given a presentation on the legal issues concerning the link between the product and the territory, with a focus on the concepts of human factors and reputation.

The ESR presented his research questions and methodology to the representatives of the Consortium, a delegation of the Chinese IP Office and the students of Magister Lvcentinvs, receiving valuable inputs in terms of producers’ perspective. In particular, attention was paid to the issues faced by GI producers for the innovation of their products, in order to make them more competitive in the market.
