End of September 2019, Anastasiia Kyrylenko (ESR 10) presented at the VII Young Researchers Conference at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Ukraine. The conference brought together senior and junior academics, as well as PhD students from leading Ukrainian Universities.

Mrs. Kyrylenko spoke about the role of the CJEU case law in the implementation of the IPR Chapter under the EU/Ukraine Association Agreement. Basing her analysis on IPR enforcement provisions of the Agreement, the researcher explained which judgements of the CJEU are binding for Ukraine, and which shall be considered relevant when implementing the Association Agreement.

Other topics covered during the conference included criminal enforcement of geographical indications, authorship issues with inventions done by artificial intelligence, or patent protection of software.
